The Littlest Pet Shop range is a selection of miniature pet animals that can be purchased on their own or in a selection of play sets. At the time of writing there has been several thousand different pets that have been created under this toy range. 

Character figures all have really bright colours as well as characteristic features of their body - think of large bulbous shaped eyes, large noses and mouths, and brightly coloured hair and you will soon start to learn what LPS toys are all about! If there was a single common feature of a Littlest Pet Shop figure it would be their eyes, the eye shape on all lps toys really stands out and we're sure this is one of the main attractions to kids that love them.

"Keep Me Safe Pets"

This includes a selection of "jungle" figures including an Elephant, a Panda, a Leopard, and a Bird, all featured in a zoo enclosure with a bowl of food, a coconut, and a branch of bamboo. 

The Elephant toy squirts water when squeezed, the Panda can hold the bamboo and raises it toward face to "eat" when its' head is pushed, the Leopard toy bats the coconut when the head is pushed, last the Bird flaps it's wings when it's head is pressed.

"Polar Pets"

 

This selection includes a Polar bear, two Penguins, and a Seal, along with an icy cave and a fishing rod. The Polar bear has a magnet in his head and can chase fish. The Penguins have ball bearings on their base allowing them to "slide" down the iceberg, the Seal flaps flippers when a snowball on it's nose is turned.

"Nursery Pets"

This selection range has a baby Tiger and a baby Cockatoo, along with a zoo enclosure, a food bowl, and a ball-on-string. 

The baby chimp figure has a a zoo enclosure with a hammock swing, a baby's bottle, nappies, a doll and a blanket. 

Baby Zebra and baby Mouse set, this is supplied with a zoo enclosure, a brush, and a bale of hay.

As well as being made available for purchase as play toys - littlest pet shop (often referred to as lps) figures have also had their own cartoon series as well as staring in a video game. In addition they have become their own little stars in home made videos such as the lps video featured here.
